Sales/Business Development Executive: Builds a market position for Happenings by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Prospect for potential new adverts and turn this into increased business
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
Plan approaches and pitches
Build relationships with new clients
Present new ideas and enhance existing relationships
Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
Identify opportunities for campaigns, products and channels that will lead to an increase in ad sales
The Sales/Business Development Executive is responsible for leading the growth of advert sales and developing new business sales opportunities.
The Sales/Business Development Executive will work alone seeking business opportunities for the Happenings platform with the support of the Editor & Creative Director to maximise all sales opportunities, proactively create new opportunities and achieve sales targets.
A strong focus will be on developing and managing relationships with industry partners and working with them on business growth opportunities beneficial to all parties.
This position will play a key role in the development and implementation of our business development plan and providing input into strategic business growth and improvement decisions.

Minimum of degree in Business management/administration, marketing or related discipline
